Tiny Brush Borders Autumn Palettes level - ANY Thursday, OCTOBER 5 AND Friday, OCTOBER 6 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, EDT (eastern US) There is nothing as warming as autumn color, and in this class we will be exploring a number of different palettes to invigorate our creativity. First , we will learn how to use a small wedge brush to paint different styles of leaves, berries and seed pods. Adding some floral elements like coneflowers and black-eyed susans, will give us a lot of options for design. Adding pointed pen textures will allow for even more. Next, we will explore several autumnal palettes and techniques: 1. we will use watercolor on light textured watercolor paper, giving a painterly effect. 2. we will use several mica pigments on dark paper, giving a shine and glow to the painting 3. we will use gouache on dark paper, giving a velvety, opaque finish Choosing color palettes for their effect and personality will be part of the projects. The class should spark your imagination with unique and fun designs, that you can use in a border, a frame, or just a quick add-on to calligraphy.
