Service Description

PEN DOODLES AND TINY BRUSH SPRING BORDERS level - ANY Thursdays, APRIL 20 AND Friday, APRIL 21 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, EDT (eastern US) A fun class to get us in the 'springy' mood! We will be using tiny wedge brush florals, doodle flowers and some pen flourishing to design and paint lovely, springtime border designs and flourishes. First , using a small liner pen, we will draw and ‘doodle’ all types of flowers, petals, and leaves, painting them in with contrasting colors. Next comes some practice with a tiny wedge brush, making leaves, petals and flowers to add to our border design. Some flourishing techniques will follow with a pointed pen, to add some texture. If you are unfamiliar with this tool, this will be a good way to get to know it, or reinforce the technique of using it for thin strokes and shades. All sorts of combinations are possible, and the class should spark your imagination with unique and fun designs, that you can use in a border, a frame, or just a quick add-on to calligraphy.
