LEVEL All Levels DESCRIPTION: It is not too early to think about garden flowers with lots of COLOR! Grey days are bringing thoughts of more warmth and color, and sharing them with Valentine's Day seems like a good mix! This introductory class will teach basic watercolor techniques, selecting palette colors, and even simple pen illustrations. We will explore easy painted florals and leaves to use in our design, and learn how to work with the pigment and water in a variety of techniques. Using a pointed brush and a wedge brush, we will select a festive palette and paint florals including vinca and roses, learning how to place them in our designs. You will learn : how to paint the design above, along with several others, including a romantic heart of red roses how to use a small round brush to create delicate florals, and techniques for painting how to use a wedge brush to create graceful leaves and petals how to use a pointed pen and nib to achieve light illustration elements to add interest to our designs DATE AND TIME The class will be two sessions of 2 hours each on Thursday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 6, EST (East Coast of US) via Zoom SUPPLIES Small round brushes, size 1 and 3.
