Service Description

I love the freedom of modern script, and coupled with adding some form and a variety of other details, we can create alphabets that are just as spontaneous and offer other personalities to this fun lettering styles. In this class, we are going to do 3 different variations of a casual, 'modern' like script. One bouncy and bold, one light and airy, and one intense and attention-getting. We will have basic forms to guide us, but will change up characteristics such as slant, weight, even changing up the letters themselves to find new looks. All will be done with a pointed pen and will be perfect for projects that need a little more 'casual' feel. So we can wade in slowly, this class will be offered in 2 parts, to give students time to acquaint themselves with the pen movement. Oblique pen holder your favorite pointed pen nibs, such as Hunt 22, 56 or Gillott 303 or 404, the G Nib, Zebra or Leonardt Principal a good quality layout bond paper, recommended - a pad of 9” x 12” Canson Pro Layout Marker Moon Palace Sumi Ink or McCaffrey’s Black (not Gloss Black) pencil
